Mindful Motion

Overview

"Mindful Motion: Practices to Foster Resilience" is an Erasmus+ training course that empowers youth workers to tackle modern challenges in youth mental health through mindfulness, creative expression, music and movement-based methods.
 

It will involve 30 participants from 10 countries: Finland, Germany, Spain, Serbia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Greece, Poland and Italy.

The project will be held from the
25th of April to the 3nd of  May 2025 at "Duna-part Nyaralóházak GÖD"  in Göd, which is located right next to the Danube, a 30-minute train ride away from Budapest.

What is it about?

The project provides participants with innovative, non-formal educational tools to promote resilience, emotional well-being, and authentic self-expression. By blending mindfulness, music, arts and body movement with reflective practices, participants will gain practical methods to support young people in navigating challenges and fostering community connections.

The project
carries a strong therapeutic load and aims to strengthen internal and external connections.
 

Throughout the week we will have mindfulness and reflection-related activities,  debates, presentations, performances, music, free movement and other art and self-expression-related activities. We will have Activity Labs where you will develop and deliver new non-formal activities in groups with our support.

Participant profile

We’re looking for youth workers, educators, trainers, artists, and young leaders who are passionate about mindfulness, movement, and self-expression. Whether you’re experienced in youth work or aspiring to make an impact, this program is your opportunity to develop fresh skills and perspectives. A willingness to engage, share ideas, and collaborate with participants from diverse backgrounds is essential.

The project is primarily designed for young people (18+) and young adults, but older applicants are also welcome. As long as you demonstrate the necessary motivation, which you can describe in the application form, you will be considered regardless of your age, background, or work experience.

This project is for you if:

  • You are eager to actively participate throughout the entire project, contribute to the development and delivery of innovative non-formal activities related to art, movement, and self-expression, and take part in dissemination efforts afterward.

  • You are comfortable with dynamic, intense days filled with activities from morning until night.

  • You are open to trying meditation and exploring its benefits.

  • You have an interest in arts and self-expression and are excited to experiment with body movement and improvisation.

  • You are ready to embrace emotional experiences and explore your inner self.

  • You want to deepen your self-awareness and personal growth.

  • You don’t mind sitting on the ground as part of the activities.

until the 28th of February 2025.
(Each applicant will be notified by the middle of March.)

Good to know

Costs:
The project is 100% free.*
*-The meals and accommodation are fully covered.
-You will have to buy your tickets yourself and will have to aim to find the cheapest travel solution.
-We will reimburse your travel once you have provided us with your tickets, took your part in the dissemination activities and filled out an online questionnaire about the project.

Requirements for participation:
-Participants with special needs and fewer opportunities
are welcomed
-You DO NOT have to be a student
-You will have to have some kind of insurance for the days
you will spend in Hungary (Either European insurance card, or any other travel insurance)

Responsibilities:
 

  •  Actively participate in all sessions and activities.

  • Share your experiences, insights, and creative ideas.

  • Contribute to the development and piloting of new activities.

  • Taking part in dissemination activities

  • Save and send us all of your travel documents

  • Filling out an online questionnaire about the training


When these conditions are fulfilled, you will become eligible to receive your travel reimbursement.

Trainer

Hi, I’m Gergely Zsóri, and I’ll be the lead trainer for this project. With over 12 years of experience in Erasmus+, transnational project coordination, and training, I specialize in using arts, self-expression, and mindfulness-based non-formal methods to empower individuals and support their personal and professional growth. I have studied the social, psychological, and therapeutic effects of music and arts, focusing on their conscious use for mental well-being and development. As a certified complex art therapist, I am passionate about helping people unlock their potential and embrace self-discovery.
